Hello again!
So since this is my first proper post and I have no pictures ready
or anything yet (and the daylight has now gone) i've decided to
do a little tag post for you all. It's pretty cliche'd I know, but
it's all just a lil bit of fun!
MAKEUP...
blush or bronzer?
This is pretty hard for me as I usually tend to wear both of these on
a daily basis. But I think if ever I had to choose just one, I'd choose blush because
then I could pick a dark browny/pink blush and also use that to
define and shape my cheekbones a lil.
lip gloss or lipstick?
Easily lipstick. I am really not a big lover of lipgloss, as I find it too slippy and
it just moves around too much for my liking. I'm much more suited to a good old
matte lipstick, which I trust to stay put and not end up smeared all over my face
and in my hair.
As much as I do love a good cat flick, I would have to say I would need mascara.
Without mascara I look odd and almost like my eyes are even smaller than they
already are. I just find mascara opens up my eyes and fans out my eyelashes
making them look nice and long.
I don't wear foundation on a day-to-day basis, so for me my essential is concealer.
I have awfully dark circles, which are in desperate need for lots of concealer
to lift my eyes up and make me look less sleepy.
Although I don't wear it half as much as I used to, I'd definetely have to say I prefer
wearing coloured eyeshadow, as I feel there is so much more you can do with
it rather than just sticking to neutrals all of the time. Don't get me wrong, I love my 'naked'
palettes, but I much prefer wearing something bright on the eyes.
As a very naturally messy person , I really do not get along with loose eyeshadows.
I use them on some occasions, but for me they just make too much mess
and produce far too much fall out under your eyes. Pressed eyeshadows are
just as good, but minus the mess.
Granted, I love my beauty blender, but for me I just much prefer to use a brush.
Especially for applying eyeshadow as I feel like it gives a much more 'blended' look
rather than it just being spreaded on with a sponge - not a good look.
NAILS...
OPI or china glaze?
I love both of these brands, but in terms of quality and staying power on my
nails, I would have to say China Glaze. As much as I love OPI's colour ranges
and packaging, I mostly find that they can chip easily, unlike China Glaze polishes.
I have the ugliest and shortest nails eveeeer due to me biting them constantly. But I
would dream of having beautiful long nails, which never break and that I can
paint without getting it all over my skin.
Since my nails are currently stupidly short, I would say I prefer acrylics
as they can actually give me the long nails I always dreamed of. However,
acrylics also can ruin your natural nails, so if ever I had the will power to grow
out my natural nails. I would certainly steer clear of acrylics.
On my nails I tend to wear whichever colour takes my fancy (usually a mixture) so I
find this hard to say. However, I usually do tend to reach for the brighter colours, or
pastels over darks as I feel they make my nails look a little less grim.
BODY...
perfume or body splash?
Without a doubt, perfume wins for me. Although I do wear body mists throughout
the day when it's just a quick refresh, but I just think there are much nicer scents
in the world of makeup, and also it lasts a hell of a lot longer.
I find it hard to tell the difference between the two in my honest opinion, however
I am currently loving a Victoria's Secret body butter, so let's just go with that...
I've actually never washed my body with a bar of soap so I wouldn't know, but for
me it just feels more natural and better for your skin to use a body wash as it's less
harsh and more moisturizing.
Lush all the way. You'll come to learn over the next few months how much I love
Lush and their amazing products. They have great ethical views too, so I just have a
hell of a lot of love for that company.
FASHION...
jeans or sweat pants?
If i'm lounging around the house or not really leaving to go anywhere, I would prefer
to wear some joggers as they're much comfier than wearing jeans. However if I was
going out to town, or to do some shopping I would always choose jeans as I class
sweat pants as sports wear or pyjamas.
Again this depends on the weather and also which one would go best with my
outfit. In winter I do enjoy wearing long sleeved shirts as they keep me walmer, just
as short sleeved shirts do in the summer.
I feel like I prefer skirts as you can change them up more, by adding a different top or
something rather than a dress being the same without really allowing much
change about (if any of that made any sense...)
I do enjoy wearing stripes a lot at the moment, so I'd choose that. However,
I do enjoy a nice bit of plaid and tartan in the winter months.
I don't really get on with flip flops as they always somehow seem to wreck my feet,
so I'll only wear them on holiday. Sandals on the other hand, I do like to wear
and they don't give me any pain.
I'm really not a lover of scarves, and tend to avoid them because I feel like
they just really do not suit me. I really do enjoy wearing hats, but I often
feel scared almost to wear them which often puts me off. I should push myself out of
my comfort zone though, so I can share my love for hats!
On some special occasions I would choose dangly earrings, however on a daily basis
I would choose to wear studs as they're much easier to style, but I am a sucker for
some feather earrings.
I enjoy wearing them both, however I own a significantly larger amount of
necklaces to bracelets, and I tend to buy them a lot more too.
heels or flats?
I do love heels, and wish I could wear them without teetering all over the place,
but for me I find it much easier to just stick to flats or maybe platforms at a push.
topshop or river island?
I am 50/50 on this question as I love the bags in River Island, I think they're amazing
quality and also very unique and lovely. But I personally prefer Topshop's clothing
collection as it is much more suited to my style (despite being massively out of my budget)
HAIR...
curly or straight?
I always say I hate my naturally curly hair, however whenever I take up the huge
effort to sit and straighten it, I always instantly regret it. I really don't suit straight hair
as it seems to make my face look really long and fat, just not a great look for me.
bun or ponytail?
I don't often wear my hair up as I find it makes me look like a man, however I
would rather wear a pony tail because then at least you can see some of my hair rather than just looking practically bald.
hair spray or gel?
Neither! They both make my hair greasy as chuff, as well as making it
unpleasently crispy and just not very nice.
long or short?
Easily long, I really miss my long hair so for me I'd do anything to have it back.
I feel like there's just so much more to be done with long hair, and so many
styles you can do which you can't do on short hair.
light or dark?
Definately light. I hate my natural hair colour, which is brown. At the moment I
have to stay this colour in order to heal my hair a little bit after it was
wrecked from excessive bleaching and dying. However, I think I suit lighter hair
a lot more, and as I always say - "I should've been born blonde."
side sweep bangs or full bangs?
At the mo I am really loving my full fringe, it makes my huge forehead look smaller.
But occasionally I do enjoy having it swept to the side, but that's a very seldom seen occasion.
up or down?
As I said earlier, it's gotta be down, as I look like a bloke with it in any kind of updo.
RANDOM...
Rain or shine?
I always feel happier when the sun is shining, plus it doesn't ruin your hair and
make-up, so shine is a real winner for me!
Summer or winter?
As much as I love the weather in Summer, a lot more exciting things happen for me
in Winter, as there's my Birthday and Christmas, which is super duper exciting.
Fall or spring?
I love the colour of the trees in Autumn, however all of the baby animals which
are brought into the world in Spring make that the better season, just because
baby animals are better than anything else on this worllllddddd.
So there you have my last blog post of today - I quite enjoyed doing that tag however
I am super excited to get back in with my beauty and lifestyle posts!
I hope you've all had a lovely day and have a lovely weekend coming up
and I shall see you all very sooooon....
Love and Hugs,
